Summer Program Teacher
Pincushion Hill Montessori School is looking for teachers to work at our 2024 Summer Discovery Program. We are looking for warm, caring, and knowledgeable teachers that have a background working with children (2.9-6 years old). This employee will join our summer team of teachers working in a collaborative environment with a nature-rich, child-centered curriculum on our spacious campus with beautiful gardens.
Our 2024 Summer Discovery Program runs for 9 weeks from June 10, 2024 to August 9, 2024
Our discovery program explores a variety of themes including ocean studies, cultural studies, gardening, wildlife, exploration of the natural world, creating, building, water play, lego programs, arts, crafts, music and movement.
Hours
- 40 hours per week, 8:30-4:30, 9:00-5:00 or 9:30-5:30

Lead Toddler Teacher
Pincushion Hill Montessori School has two job openings in our toddler classroom. The position is full-time Monday-Friday. The classroom serves ages 18 months to 2.9 years. We are looking for two fun, enthusiastic toddler teachers and caretakers who enjoy a collaborative teaching environment, love children and Montessori!
Responsibilities
- Plan or assist with developmentally appropriate activities for toddlers
- Provide individualized attention and care to each child
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure quality care for all children
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and assessments
License/Certification Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Early Childhood Education
- EEC Lead Teacher certification for Toddler

Assistant Children’s House Teacher
Pincushion Hill Montessori School established in 1962 is seeking motivated, reliable, caring EEC certified or non-certified teachers for full time Assistant Teacher positions in the Children’s House classrooms. Our school year runs from September through June and our 9 week summer program runs from June - August.
We are located in Ashland, MA and serve families with children ages 2.9-6 years for the Children’s House classrooms.
He/she will plan with the Lead Teacher to prepare lessons for a range of ages and ability levels. Montessori experience is preferred but not necessary (on-site training offered as well as sponsorship in a MACTE accredited Montessori Teacher Training Program).
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Experience working in an early childhood setting
- EEC certified or interested in training
- CPR certification (preferred)

Part Time Music Teacher
Pincushion Hill Montessori School is a nurturing, dynamic Montessori school in Ashland, MA that serves families with children ages 18 months through 6 years old. We are looking for a special individual who loves to teach children to sing from beginners to advanced, while incorporating musical instruments and movement lessons. Our school year runs from September through June and our nine week summer program runs from June - August.
The music teacher would be responsible for teaching and instilling an appreciation of music from toddlerhood to preschool.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Music Education
- At least 1 year of teaching experience

Art Teacher
Currently seeking an Art Teacher to join our team of dedicated educators for the 2024/2025 school year. We are looking for an energetic, team oriented, creative individual looking to work in a nurturing Montessori environment.
Requirements
- Develop and implement a full range of classroom art activities appropriate to the age of the students
- Teach classes with children ages 18 months through 6
- Teach an after school art enrichment course one afternoon a week
- Supervise the after school program
