Children’s House Art

The Children’s House art curriculum is designed to introduce students to art history, art from different countries and cultures, and inspire students to be creative and make art! While in this class students will strengthen fine motor skills while working with a variety of materials such as paint, clay, collage, watercolor, pencils, etc. Students will be encouraged to express themselves freely. Our class will focus on foundational elements of visual art such as color, shape, line, texture, 2D, and 3D.

Elementary Art

The Elementary art curriculum is designed to build upon previous knowledge of skills and art terminology such as line, shape, form and further develop advanced concepts such as composition, shading, texture and proportion. While in art students will be able to express themselves through art and use a variety of media such as drawing, painting, clay, printing, collage and sculpture. Throughout the year students will expand knowledge of art from different time periods, countries and cultures.
