Amanda Weaver

Art Teacher

Amanda graduated from Massachusetts College of Art & Design with a BFA in Art Education and a minor in Creative Writing. She has her teaching certification in Visual Art, PreK-8, licensed by the state of Massachusetts. Amanda is returning for her second year at Pincushion Hill. Amanda has experience teaching in Newton, MA where she learned how to run a TAB (Teaching for Artistic Behavior) classroom. She utilizes this choice-based method of teaching where students have the autonomy to freely explore their ideas while also being guided through new art techniques they can use to express themselves as artists. Amanda is a multi-disciplinary artist that primarily works in photography, fibers, and natural dyeing. She enjoys spending time in nature and incorporates it into her art practice. Amanda is so excited for another year to work with Pincushion Hill’s young artists.
